Amp Fit, Inc. (amp) is voluntary recalling the amp Smart Fitness Machines Due to Laceration or Injury Hazard. 

Earlier this year, we discovered that the arm on the MP2 model of the fitness machine does not lock properly, which can allow the arm to swing unexpectedly, posing a risk of laceration or serious injury.  The units were sold on-line from January 2025 to August 2025. 

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fitness machine and contact amp to schedule a free inspection and repair that will be conducted at the consumers’ residence by an authorized technician. The repair involves the replacement of a part within the shoulder cap of the locking mechanism that helps to ensure the locking mechanism is fully engaged. 

What has amp Done

  • We contacted all customers with units from the potentially affected batch asking them to stop use until we could inspect and repair their devices.
  • We proactively reached out to schedule the repair of all devices from the relevant batch. 
  • Each potentially affected device is being inspected. To repair the devices, technicians replace a part within the shoulder cap of the arm locking mechanism with an updated design that helps ensure the locking mechanism fully engages.  

Over 80% of the devices have already been inspected and repaired. Anyone whose device has already been inspected and repaired don’t need to take any further action and can resume workouts.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you did not receive any notices or outreach concerning your device, that means amp’s records indicate that you did not purchase the impacted MP2 device, and that your product is ready for use, subject to the safety protocols detailed in our user manual and demonstrated in instructional videos available on the amp app. If you are in any doubt, however, please feel free to reach out to us to double-check. Wall-mounted to two studs using eight small holes, the device requires minimal space, leaving your room open and uncluttered. On average, installation takes only 45 minutes, so you can start training right away. Just schedule a delivery time that works for you.


Before we arrive, remember to have the amp app installed on your iPhone (iOS) or iPad (iPadOS).

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee or warranty?

Yes. If you’re not fully satisfied with your amp within 90 days of its installation date, contact support@amp.ai for a full refund, subject to amp’s Cancellation, Return Policy and Limited Warranty. Our team may ask a few questions to help improve the experience for future customers.


We also back the amp device with a complimentary one-year limited warranty and offer additional optional Extend Protection Plans at checkout.

Is there a monthly subscription?

Yes, your device comes with a one-year subscription commitment to the amp app for $23/month (you may cancel your subscription following your one-year commitment). A single membership allows up to 15 household members to stay active, each with their own personalized profile and workouts tailored to their goals.
